That's right. We've even known each other longer than the length of my previous stay.

[It's then he ends up smiling.]

[ It makes Tyr smile too. Would Ion want to stay here? He won't say anything about it. ]

...It's been a good few months for us.

Yes, they have been well.

[So they pass that creepy hospital that he hasn't had any mind to actually go to.]

[ Nope, not a chance. Tyr's eyes linger on it just a while, but he's soon looking around again. ]

Yeah...

Do you like it here?

[Is this merely a question to fill dead air?]

To an extent, yes.

[ Wouldn't Ion like to know? ]

You've been here for a while...compared to your last stay...

[Is the other trying to figure out a point?]

Do you mind it here?

[ Tyr makes no response for several moments. ]

No...

[fontastically]

...I see.

[Ion will allow things to return to silence with that.]

[third_liberator]

[ And Tyr doesn't try to break it. Nope, just walking in silence. ]

[That's acceptable. Clearly it isn't the best thing to talk about as of right now. There is more than likely too much on Tyr's mind as of right now. Or maybe nothing at all? Walking beside him does not tell Ion everything. It is soon Ion is distracted by something else, however, slowing down a bit. A building that he is not familiar with.]

[ Lots of silence, a lot of mixed feelings. He wonders to what extent Ion likes staying here and if he looks down on him more than just literally. His hands stay stuffed in his pockets and his eyes downcast as they walk together.

Until Ion slows down.

Tyr gradually slows with him, turning towards Ion rather than whatever he's looking at. ]

[The building in question has a couple of points at the top. It reminds him of something else though what he has in mind is not alike to what he is currently seeing.]

I'm sorry, I was only curious to the building's purpose.

[He thinks Tyr has taken notice of it as well and looks back at him.]

[ It's then that Tyr finally looks back to what Ion was gazing at previously. That building... Tyr stares at it for a few moments himself. Its design is unlike any of the others he's seen here. It almost looks like a small castle.

Looking back at Ion, Tyr shakes his head. ]

I don't know what it's used for either...

[ Standing, wondering, and moping isn't going to do them any good though. ]

Let's go inside.

[fontastically]

[A distraction may do Tyr a short lived favour. Ion nods before going to follow along a path- as opposed to going over the grass- to approach the building of interest.]

[ Tyr follows along right beside him as they enter the large, open doors, and look into...an antechamber and a large, open room filled with rows of benches. Then there are all the statues, paintings, along with the splashes of colored light from stained class windows.

It's very fancy and very quiet, though there's at least NPCs around. ]

[He blinks a few time as he stands at the back of the aisle. There is a sudden urge to step forward, which he does, but does not go far. His eye catches a little book that sits in the last bench row on the right. He reaches over to pick it up.]

...This is a place of study and worship.

[third_liberator]

It is?

[ It's pretty fancy...not that Tyr has anything to compare the church to. He does step beside Ion and look over his shoulder. ]

You can tell just by that book?

[fontastically]

[He lifts the book a tad as to show the other. Holy Bible is printed on the cover.]

I have read of people who follow a religion whose teachings come from this book. Granted, I believe there is also another religion that has their text they refer to as a Bible as well.

[After that short explanation, he looks back up the aisle once more.]

With how things are set up I'm quite sure that the purpose to this place is to allow the study.

[ "Holy." Well, Tyr knows what that word means at least and that answers the "place of worship" question.

The rest of Ion's explanation is intriguing as well, though, if only because it seems as though Ion has a bit of knowledge about this. ]

I see...

[ It's so quiet... Though it's also bright and ornate, he could see how and why people would come to study and worship in such a place.

Yes, that is the extent of his thoughts. ]

Do you study other religions often?

[The book is going to be returned to its place on the bench.]

Not before my arrival to Holly Heights. There had been one religion that dominated the people of Auldrant.

[With straightening up, he shakes his head.]

In March, the holiday of Easter was celebrated. While many people had been familiar with Easter they were not able to explain why it was being celebrated. I decided to look into into the matter for myself and it ended up branching in different directions.

All of Auldrant?

[ That made sense when he believed Auldrant was one, theocratic state, but hearing that now is just bizarre. Even with the Runes holding so much power, there were still other religions (even if Tyr was rather ignorant to most of them).

Maybe Ion's an unreliable source in this case? But he had always been impartial before and seemed to have given up his former position so easily.

That doesn't change the fact, he guessed, that in the end, Ion was a part of a theocracy. Maybe he was just mistaken.

Tyr would go with that and focus on the more important part of this conversation after he got done with staring at Ion. ]

Ah, anyway...I never heard of "Easter" before coming here... It's possible that the people here are celebrating it just because it's a holiday the Landlord chooses to hold a celebration for... It might have nothing to do with this religion for them.

[ Though it might have for the Landlord considering he chose to celebrate it and may have chosen to erect the church as well. ]

Yes. The people are rather dependent on the center of the religion.

[It isn't too difficult to take the other's expression that as something of disbelief. Ion isn't able to ask Tyr to believe him what he is saying, in the end. Though that may be of something of help if he did but things certainly vary from each world. A whole planet looking at something for various means does sound unrealistic and frightening from where Ion has been standing for the past few months.]

You are more than likely correct but it does not deny that the holiday has a root of sorts.
