I'm grateful...for everything we've done together, too.

[ Now he turns back to his food and finally starts eating. ]

[At least he is eating. That puts Ion at a little more ease so he can start on his soup as well. But it's soon he pauses.]

I'm fortunate you think that I should be here.

You're a great person... You deserve to be happy.

[ So of course he'd think that. More quietly, he admits: ]

I'd be lonely without you, too.

[He isn't able to respond right away as he doesn't want to belittle how Tyr feels and the fact it is something Ion wasn't expecting the other to say.]

...You know you can contact me whenever you want.

The same is true for you.

[ He doesn't know what else to say. Maybe he shouldn't have said that at all, and now he'll just stop while he's ahead. ]

I don't know. You look like the type to have a sweet tooth...

The soup is fine, though. It's...Japanese.

[Tyr's description of the soup only gives Ion another reason to softly laugh like before.]

I like the soup, myself.

Yeah. I can tell...

[ Tyr wasn't joking that time! ]

I'm glad you like the soup anyway... Especially since this kind of food doesn't exist in your world.

I didn't eat sweets at home so I guess I wouldn't have thought that.

[But it goes along with living such a new life.]

The foods vary from place to place, I believe, but I have yet to have a specific soup like this one.

You didn't? [ Being a religious leader is hard. ] You have since you've gotten here though, right?

But I can't say I had a soup like this either... It's different.

That's right. There is a place that Yue told me about that is completely devoted to sweets.

[It seems as Ion has run out of veggies and rice at this point.]

I'm glad you don't find it distasteful, at least.

One of my friends works at a place like that, too. Maybe we can stop by there sometime...

[ Tyr just eating and eating. ]

I don't. It's pretty good...and it's not too light, either.

Maybe we could go there after leaving here.

[But for now, Ion's going to take this time to finish up his soup.]

Ah, sure... It's just a store, though...

[ Though that suits Tyr just fine. He didn't plan on hanging around with a lot of people today. ]

If you have somewhere else in mind we could go there since I was allowed to decide on lunch.

[ Tyr shakes his head. ]

We can visit... But I'd rather go to the beach after that.

We will go to the beach.

[He sets his spoon down as he reaches into his pocket to pull out that card he received upon his arrival to take care of pay.]

[third_liberator]

[ Oh- Tyr fumbled in his pocket to get his own wallet. ]

...All right.

[Maybe it would do Tyr some good but Ion can't say for sure. He doesn't settle back down until his card is returned as so he doesn't have to struggle with getting it back into his pocket.]

Tell me when you are ready to leave.

[ He pushed himself back to leave. How long would Ion want to stay with him? He's have to cut Ion loose soon. ]
