Sorry, it was just something that was on my mind...

[ And he trusted Ion enough to talk about it with him, but choosing to do so was more than a little heartless of Tyr. Ion had suffered and Tyr probably just dredged up bad memories.

Now he went back to poking at his food to please Ion. ]

[He looks back over at Tyr with there being a small possibility of being fooled.]

You said you would protect me. You give promising training and you're open to discussion. Maybe not right now you don't have such things in mind and you worry but you have done far more since we have met.

[ Tyr's expression softened. ]

I'm grateful...for everything we've done together, too.

[ Now he turns back to his food and finally starts eating. ]

[At least he is eating. That puts Ion at a little more ease so he can start on his soup as well. But it's soon he pauses.]

I'm fortunate you think that I should be here.

[ So of course he'd think that. More quietly, he admits: ]

I'd be lonely without you, too.

[He isn't able to respond right away as he doesn't want to belittle how Tyr feels and the fact it is something Ion wasn't expecting the other to say.]

I'm glad you like the soup anyway... Especially since this kind of food doesn't exist in your world.

I didn't eat sweets at home so I guess I wouldn't have thought that.

[But it goes along with living such a new life.]

The foods vary from place to place, I believe, but I have yet to have a specific soup like this one.

But I can't say I had a soup like this either... It's different.

That's right. There is a place that Yue told me about that is completely devoted to sweets.

[It seems as Ion has run out of veggies and rice at this point.]

One of my friends works at a place like that, too. Maybe we can stop by there sometime...

I don't. It's pretty good...and it's not too light, either.
