A leader is nothing without others. They must be quite remarkable. But you must not rob yourself of credit, either, as the only could be the same for you. You had to have worked to get where you were. Your comrades have good minds.
[That's how he sees it, at least, with the little he knows.]
There is a Japanese restaurant that I've been interested in going to if that doesn't bother you.
[If people have the true desire to they can easily overthrow someone above them. But there is no reason for that to be said as it does not come up. For now, they will be walking once again. They will eventually end up to the Pleasure Gate to a building that does not particularly special save for the cats that are wandering around out in the front. Ion makes sure to be careful of them as he works on getting the door open.]
No cats get caught in the door, thank goodness, and they are greeted by something of a cozier inside. Rather small and empty. Unlike some other places. Ion moves to go sit at the counter.]
[But how does one get 'Japanese' out of nowhere. Now he is confused with trying to figure out other times but he at least has time to ask for some steeped tea for himself.]
[There's a soft hum in response as Ion continues to smile.
For now, he sort of shifts the side of vegetables before scooping some up with some rice to eat. The soup is going to be allowed some cool down time before he decides to shove it into his mouth.]
[ Ion was spoiling him now. Though Tyr assumed he was going to pay for his own entree, having Ion pay for their dessert still made Tyr feel like Ion was trying to spoil him.
He was a really good friend.
Tyr looked down at his soup, stirring it with his spoon, as his voice dropped a little lower. ]
[He scooped up some more rice and vegetables to eat and chews with his mouth closed as he lifts his head to look at the other. There are many things that have been said today and even yesterday but with things growing quieter it feels as though it is being narrowed down to something.]
[ This wasn't something he originally wanted to discuss with Ion - and he hadn't wanted to ruin their lunch either - but he couldn't stop thinking of it lately. ]
That doesn't matter... Whether someone believes they're alive or not, they're still trapped here.

[ At least Ion doesn't think he's foolish even though he also doesn't know the entire story. ]
My comrades...they were all amazing. I can't really take much credit.
[ He slips his hands back into his pockets. ]
What do you want for lunch? We have a lot of options...

Thanks, Ion... Let's try that Japanese restaurant together. Lead the way there.

[ That's a lot of cats. Do the people leave out scraps for them? He stares at them for a few moments as he follows Ion inside the restaurant. ]
Did someone recommend this place to you?
no subject
[As it really isn't much of anything.
No cats get caught in the door, thank goodness, and they are greeted by something of a cozier inside. Rather small and empty. Unlike some other places. Ion moves to go sit at the counter.]
no subject
[ He'll sit beside Ion. Hopefully no cats are walking around inside as well. That would be unsanitary. ]
I haven't had much Japanese food before... I didn't know it existed on Earth too.
no subject
...You had Japanese food at home?
[Not like Tyr is going to experience much now with there being mostly one thing on the menu with a few others to accompany it.]
no subject
Mm. Things like stew and tonkatsu... I haven't had that much, though.
[ And now that he looks at the menu...he can't say he knows much about this. This must be one of those specialty shops... ]
...Have you tried this before?
no subject
[For some reason, Ion hasn't thought of the idea.]
No, not at all.
[But it isn't about to prevent him from ordering it.]
no subject
No. I thought it was just a descriptor...
[ Like "spicy" or "sauteed".
It doesn't matter to Tyr, really, if ion has had this or not. It just means they're both going into this blind. ]
Then let's hope it's good. Two orders for us, and...
[ It's too hot for tea. Oh wait, it's never too hot for tea. ]
Bubble tea.

[But how does one get 'Japanese' out of nowhere. Now he is confused with trying to figure out other times but he at least has time to ask for some steeped tea for himself.]
It's quite peaceful here.
no subject
[ He looks around the restaurant for the first time, taking in the decor. ]
I can understand why you wanted to come here before...
no subject
...Next time we go out to eat I would like you to pick the restaurant.
no subject
I will. Maybe after training one day... [ He smiles a little. ] I know a few places here that are pretty good.

Thank you for your honesty.
[Oh, look, food's here.]
no subject
Anything for you.
[ Now for this...egg and mushroom thing. This is Japanese food too, huh? He pokes at it with his spoon. ]
no subject
For now, he sort of shifts the side of vegetables before scooping some up with some rice to eat. The soup is going to be allowed some cool down time before he decides to shove it into his mouth.]
After this, could I treat you to dessert?
[Vegetables make everyone think of dessert.]

...About what I said before...
no subject
Yes...?
no subject
People who have died before... I...thought of it a lot, and...I can't agree with what I said before... More than anything...they should be here.
no subject
What if they have no desire to be here?
no subject
That doesn't matter... Whether someone believes they're alive or not, they're still trapped here.
