( in the two month that Michael has been here, he has only had a handful of people leave, but one of those was his best--and first--friend from home. by now he's accepted the idea that Yuuma is gone and while he may not he safe per se, he's safe at least from any shenanigans that their Landlord is capable of.
so, really, he gets it. losing someone isn't easy, but maybe for him it was easier than it should have been. that doesn't mean that he can't be sympathetic, however, if he were to find out that someone had lost someone to.
this morning he comes down to breakfast early as any other day: he's got school to attend, and he's always been more of a morning person anyway, once he gets up and moving. while he's not exactly cheerful he's not in a bad mood, definitely he's what anyone would consider in a normal, mild mood. he'll be smiling as he lays out tea things and a typically sparse European breakfast: some toast, some preserves, perhaps a fruit or a bit of yoghurt. he's no longer rubbing at his eyes and he's dressed for school already. )
[ It was almost amazing that Michael always woke up early, though Tyr had almost been hoping to avoid him. Well, Tyr usually woke up later than he should, so it's no wonder he walks to the kitchen to see his housemate smiling and at work setting up breakfast.
While Tyr might give a small smile, try to be friendly, he looks almost uncertain seeing Michael, glancing away before looking to him once more.
...It wouldn't be fair to him - or any of their housemates - to just turn around and head back to his room (or out of the house) without a word. Instead, he gives Michael a small nod. ]
( well, that wasn't suspicious at all. Michael has come to understand that Tyr is many shades less lively than himself, just as he has come to recognise some of Tyr's moods and gestures. he's even more subdued than normal and he has an inkling that that isn't due to it being morning.
Michael smiles, but obviously there is a question in it. setting down a serviette he says : )
Good morning, Tyr-san. ...Rough night? ( he tilts his head. )
...Yeah. [ He put on a half-smile, trying to keep in mind that, situation changed or not, looking gloomy wouldn't help him.
Nevertheless, he's not oblivious to Michael's own expression, but he doesn't know what to do about it right now. So continues to just stand awkwardly. ]
